The main acute hospital serving Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire, known locally as QA. The hospital provides accident and emergency, maternity, surgery, cancer treatment and a full range of outpatient services. It is one of the largest employers in the area. The site is located on the eastern edge of Cosham, below Portsdown Hill.
