Modern Transport Hub

2000s

Cosham's role as a transport interchange continued to develop in the twenty-first century. The railway station, the A27/A3 junction and the bus routes converging on the district make Cosham one of the most connected points in the Portsmouth area. Improvements to the station and the bus stops reinforced Cosham's position as a gateway between the mainland and Portsea Island. The Park and Ride service at Portsdown Hill provided an additional transport option for drivers heading into the city centre.
