A residential street in the eastern part of Cosham, connecting to the Medina Road area. Lakeside Avenue has a mix of housing types, including Victorian terraces and some later twentieth century properties. Despite its name, there is no lake nearby. The street is well established and has a settled community feel. Houses are generally modestly sized but well maintained, with the typical features of Cosham's residential streets: bay windows, small front gardens and on-street parking. The avenue provides a useful link between the eastern residential streets and the main road network, and it is within walking distance of the High Street and the railway station.
