Wayte Street
Street guide, Cosham
A street running south-west from the High Street towards the A27, passing through a mixed area of residential properties, community buildings and small businesses. Cosham Baptist Church stands on Wayte Street and is a recognisable local landmark. The Cosham Community Centre is also nearby, providing meeting rooms and event space for local groups. The street has a functional rather than attractive character, serving as a practical link between the High Street and the main road. Housing along Wayte Street is varied, including Victorian terraces, 1960s flats and some newer builds. The southern end of the street is close to the A27, and traffic noise from the main road is audible.
