Wootton Street

A residential street running parallel to the High Street on its western side. Wootton Street has a mix of Victorian terraces and some early twentieth century properties, with a few conversions to flats. The street acts as a secondary route through the district and carries local traffic avoiding the pedestrianised High Street. Some properties retain their original Victorian architectural details, including decorative brickwork and tiled paths. The street is narrow, with parking on both sides reducing the effective road width. Despite the density, the atmosphere is quiet and residential, and the street benefits from its proximity to both the High Street shops and Cosham Park a few streets to the west.
